    I’ve never 3d printed anything but know a lot is possible now. Still I believe you’re going to have to do all that cleanup work to smooth it out, right? The casting I was referring to is taking a good original part and making a mold off it in silicone, then cast with plastic resin

    I always think metal. I was thinking wouldn't it be way to heavy but then I remembered aluminum would be pretty light and dope. It all depends on what you're prints look like. If I was printing things like above I wouldn't think twice about casting it in sand straight out of the printer. The vent would probably need redesigned to cast. Might be a little to thin to flow and would cool before it filled.
