Looks good. If you don't already know, the transgo shift kit for the Lexus/toyota trans makes a big difference in shift quality. Really firms the shifts up.

@Frinzo in good time! I've been trying to focus on just getting the engine started, but keep getting side tracked....

@yotarip i was researching that kit, but the transmission I have is the 30-40LE and I'm not sure witch one to get, a shift kit is really high on the todo list.
If you find one share a link!

The factory auto from the SC400. Its the same auto the Supra uses. @Justin Danger then in the not to distant future I'll put a TH400 in

Ah, so is that cable driven? I've been trying to figure out a way to replace my shifter, but I'm running my stock auto trans.

Your ride is looking nice man, quite inspiring!

Thanks bro @Justin Danger! Yes it's a cable drive shifter. The factory Auto's linkage is on the wrong side for a lot of shifters so cable is going to be the best bet! I got mine thru EBay for 315 shipped with the cover. The quality is very nice. Any by TCI hurst B&M is going to be pricey but well worth it IMO.

@Justin Danger is going man, recently go into the oilfield life. A friend convinced me to make the career change as the income is very strong. I've been in-field and just got some time off. Nothing new or no changes have been made. I'll be sure to post as new things become available.

I was pretty sure I was going 2JZ but some of you guys are making the 1UZ look easier and easier. At first glance it looked like a complete PITA.

@mutantcolors ANY engine swap is going to be a lot of work planning trail and error, just take it one step at a time and you will be ok. I thought the same thing about the JZ engines as they make kits to almost make everything bolt on, but where's the fun in that!!!

Little bit of an update guys! Had some time off and got to a few things. Got the engine and tranny mated, Fresh rear main and input seals.

Also had to, well didn't have to it just made things a lot simpler; I cut the apron support. Makes taking this monster out/in a breeze.

Cut the Exhaust flanges off as this is 100% necessary for this swap!!! Also ONLY on the passengers side you will have to either relocate the O2 sensor or get the shorter ones from an LS400 with jap. Vin code!

This is really strange, after I got the tranny and header put on I can no lover get the engine to sit on the F****** mounts with out a pretty good gap. The whole thing is now resting the oil pan on the front cross member.

Don't know what in going to do here just yet. I need to play more with the position of the mounts and go from their. I know a few members have had to mod theirs a little to get everything cherry.

That's going to like up perfectly!!! Looking at the holes this maybe 100% bolt on!!!

    She's getting their!

Would swapping the mounts help at all? I know it's been done to make those dropzones work...

@YOguyDA not 100% sure just yet. Maybe. I really wish they would label the dam things lol. I may just scrap them entirely and do what yotarip did. Simple and costs nothing. I wanted to do the least amount of cutting and welding but for this swap that's just not possible.
