HAY! CALM DOWN NOW. 2WD's CAN go up, that goes with your budget. shoot, I'd have a 3" BL 3" lifted 2WD with a V8 and throw 29" tires on it and go Baja around the place.... that is... if there's any where for me to do it. It's like lifting up a 4WD and living in a flat area. Ahem Kansas.
Yea but most people that lift a 2wd normally have no intention to go beat the piss out of it on trails. I have a cousin with a lifted 2wd n that thing hasnt seen any rocks bigger than pebbles n sh!t on the street
I know everyone has their tastes and whatnot. But why lift any truck and NOT take it off road? I personlly like both, and if I'm gonna spend the money and lift a truck, its gettin dirty! Take my Yota, yes its lowered and will get air ride in the future, but I'm gonna drive the piss out of it.
i 100% agree with that but the same can be said about a lot of 4x4 trucks also. how many jacked up 4x4s do you see rolling around on 20''+ wheels, low profile offroad tires, and high end offroad shocks that get washed 2 times a week? i dont take my truck out as much as i would like because of my work schedule but it does go into the dirt and i use it for what it was built for. ^all 2wd
well I can say it all depends on what you want. My truck was once a prerunner. I rocked the fiberglass, lift and 31" muds. you have to pick what you want with it. I have taken it places 4x4's i see all around (big lift, big rims, little tires) have never been. I have taken mine on mountain trails where guys in 4x4's said I shouldnt be. It also has seen as much air as a small plane. I enjoyed hauling ass through the desert. After I became a father I decided that the desert scene was not where I wanted to be anymore (nothing wrong with it, just lost interest). So I began thinking of throwing a solid axle in the front and making a family cruiser. Because of the sentimental value of my truck the idea of laying it over on a trail didnt sit well. So now I have "retired" it from the dirt and now I have lowered it. And my lifted 2wd was far from a mall crawler.
