Yea pretty annoying getting told stay on topic guess we found the next moderator..... lol. That's funny sh!+
I also had mexican food lastnight and got home and put in mercedes Benz folding cupholders and hood shocks. Was a good cheap evening! EDIT: the first pic makes the wood look like crap. There sitting very even and the wood is gorgeous! And real! I.E. they look awesome in person... dont know why im defending myself to you fools!!! Haha
more info on the hood struts I would like model numbers or what they came on and pics of mounting methods I was thinking of this but now im set on doing it
Well I just asked my auto part store for roughly 18in. Extended and 35lbs a peice. 40 or 45 would be better. I found 10mm bolt heads that clipped in to the shock but ball studs from a wrecking yard will be much better and I will get some when I go out again. I made the brackets with a cut off wheel vise drill and hammer. There not finished. Gotta finish shaping them and paint em and cleaner mounting screws but ill take a close up for ya. The upper mount I made bridge the crinkle point in the hood so it doesnt bend closing. And it doesnt at all. The lower mount is a simple L bracket that uses the bolt hole and welded nut thats already there. Doesnt flex bend or nothing jusf had to get a longer bolt since I stacked 1/4in. Metal ontop the little hood bump stop thingy bracket... u will see. This allowed it to hold the hood right at hood prop height and doesnt push up on ur hood when closed. AND like I said they still gotta come off. Finish being shapped cleaner. Sandblasted and painted with the corrext hardware. Such as flush screws and ball studs. And I was gonna come up with a sweet looking "boot" to cover brackets and joints.
I replaced the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor... The dealer wants at my wholesale price $170.00 so i bought one identical on ebay for $15.00 FREE SHIPPING.. it works the same.. the same size.. the same diameter.. same length..Same gear.. only difference is that the personality plug on the original is at 90 degrees whereas the aftermarket one is straight... While I was down there i went ahead and replaced the gear oil. Here is the original: Here is the aftermarket one at $12.00
I finally got this mod to go right.. I had run into so many issues because the butcher that owned the truck before yanked the radio out without removing the screws..and just broke the dash... Anyway it wasn't an easy task as Roni's AssYriaNrocKer because he did it on a 4Runner and it is just built different in here and the bracket for the radio and tray is bigger so it would be more accommodating.. i did my best and it took me 9 continuous hours to complete the job.. Here it is. Before: I used paint sticks to get it to line up and multiple holes... what a mess !!! I had to do more trimming of the back portion of the coin/cup holder and i will upload a better pic with the added cuts so it will fit in the mini. Here is the finished product nice and flush... What a Mission !!!! Argghhh !!
Tried out this new buff wax from company called production ..and Clayed my daily it had serious hazing after first neglectful owner I no it's not yota related . But it turned out pretty good
I installed the best 8" AC Condenser fan money can buy.. it was a simple install.. just had to modify the front grille just a bit and it went in really well. Fan was $28.00 FREE SHIPPING To be mounted in front of the AC Condenser: This is just a mock up of where it would go: This is where i had to cut into the grille.. This is after the initial cut with a Dremel tool: Used the Dremel to grind the remaining material off the back part of the grille: The front of the grille..Looks great ! The grille sits tight as it should: I had to modify the bottong screw from Buttonhead screw to countersunk screw for added clearance: Ready to install fan: The P ties to secure the fan to the condenser: This part was grueling.. I am a big guy to fit my hand between the Radiator and Condenser to secure the end tabs to Pties.... had alcohol and Hydrogen Peroxide and Neosporin close by: Way down there: No words: Here is the fan all wired up but i made an error.. since the fan is mounted in front of the ac condenser it will be pushing air forward at about 700 CFM : I had a blonde moment and reversed the polarity so if you order this fan keep the black wire Ground and the blue wire will go to a fuse , relay and the positive lead switch on the AC Compressor motor This is the finished product and it fits great under the '93 Hilux front chrome grille: Great clearance:
*** CORRECTION *** : I need to make a correction ... The 8" Fan is configured as a Puller because it is supposed to mount on the inside and pulls the air through the condenser. The Polarity can be reversed as a Pusher mounted on the outside or in front of the condenser to push the air through the condenser. Since we are placing the fan in front of the condenser then you want to set it up as a PUSHER so I did wire it up correctly. Blue wire to ground and Black wire to Positive (+) Lead.
Fan was $24.00 FREE SHIPPING I bought it on ebay and the Ebay item# 400322244218 I suggest you get their installation kit for another $4.00 Specifications: Thickness is approximately 2 1/2 inches. Flat side to flat side is approximately 9 inches. Round side to round side is approximately 9 1/2 inches. CFM is approximately 400 and it draws 4 Amps but I feel it spins closer to 700 CFM
Here is where you connect the Lead Trigger wire to the Positive wire switch that goes from the Harness to the AC Compressor via a Wire tap connector. Just make sure to use P ties to keep the wire from dangling to close to any moving revolving parts.
I replaced my burnt out Electric Speedo Cluster with one i just bought.. I had 167,400 miles when it broke and on the replacement cluster I adjusted the odometer to 168,000 so i can be back on track. I followed a thread that i saw on Yotatech forum page. Took apart the cluster and removed the odometer. https://scontent-b-mia.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ash3/580314_10151878496948536_1369133920_n.jpg Carefully removing each white gear with a needle nose plier. Here is the end result... it took me less than 20 minutes to accomplish this feat from beginning to end.
Decided it was time to change my shocks never done it since I bought it.....good ideaold out yeah their blown....I went with toxic shocks way stiffer now good ride
