front engine harness is now done as well also started on the vent windows.. i'm tinting the windows , so while I was at it , I figured I might as well clean up the frames (there was a little rust) so all sandblasted , and ready for some epoxy .
is that little fuse/relay box all that is required to run the engine? (besides ecu and underdash fuses..) i'm just tryin to figure out how big of a box i'll have to add in my hilux when i get the motor wired. truck is coming along awesome!!
thats it .. but you have to remember , it does take the smaller "waffer" fuses .. but yeah ... thats the one .
continueing on .. and excited for it's coat of color ... I welded up a bunch of unwanted holes on the firewall and got all the new nuts installed to make the pieces "boltable" . also working on the tranny tunnel .. got it cut and ground also started to attach some of the "hold down studs" for the emergance brake cable .. still have to do the rear heater line hold downs .. I used these pieces , and just drilled holes to plug weld them in place .. got lots of the welding I wanted to do .. but I still have a bit more .. .
got my tank filled today .. and continued on .. got lots done .. but was slowed on finding 11x1.25 mm nuts for the seat belts .. crap , I forgot all about it !! I ended up spendin 1/2 the day looking for these stupid little nuts , finally I went to the wrecker and "knocked" some off with a hammer and chistle .. so anyway .. made some backing plates for the seatbelt and seattrack bolt down nuts .. and got them welded ... just about ready to seal up the underside and give it some BLACK ... .
still prepping for paint .. got the firewall all cleaned up .. found a wee bit of rust , but soon got that dealt with cleaning up the firewall all wire wheeled , and cleaned scuffed and zinc'd also got the underside scuffed and zinc'd the topside and bottom side wil be "sealed" in the paint booth ... ant last but not least .. I POR-15'd the inside of the rockers , cab corners , and cowl ... I was able to scuff the rockers and cab corners when I had them apart .. the cowl I was not able to .. I dont know how well the POR will work in the cowl , but I figured It would be better then nothing and YES .... tomorrow it goes to paint the inners .
buttoned up the Power steering lines today .. but found my return line just a few inches to short .. I'll have to replace that !! originally , there was /is a bracket for the Main power wire for the starter , housed in a white plastic surround , just around the face of the oil pan ... I wanted to keep it , so I made up a new bracket for the wire casing to "clip" to .. as well as a support for the P/steering line .
pic I forgot to post ... anyway , the last thing i had to do before the inner paint .. was the new windshield washer nozzles .. now located on the hood .. holes cut and nozzles installed I also finished the underside , I made the holes for 3 washer hose clips .. and thats it for now ... deliverd for some color .
so a little bit today ... now that the cab is in the paint shop .. I needed to paint some pieces myself.. satin black .

I have misplaced the size /part # anyone know it ? .
got everything back together today . I checked some of the aftermarket stores today, for the dish style frost plug and had no luck , most wern't open today because it was a holiday , so I ended up taking the plug out of an old shaft I had from another truck that I parted out ... I "miked" it .. and was 34.25MM .. if anyone is ever interested.. anyway .. I install the plug , and cleaned and washed and prepped for the POR15 coating ... Chassis is now complete .. (once I bolt on the front shaft) ... only thing left to do is the Gear oil ... everything is done and ready for the cab .
