Sweet, summer slam should be bitchin then. Lets have a fat toyota roll in. I know a few shops that may let us park with/near their booths.
Started welding up the new frame for the IFS swap. Hoping to complete the front half of the frame this weekend.
I found a flat on my driver rear tire today. Aired it up at home. Hopefully its still full tomorrow. I think I hit a nail or something. The tires are about bald, so I can put a rope plug in if i find the hole
got some 6x9 speakers in some boxes hooked up and put behind the seat. 4" speakers in the dash weren't cutting it! also got my wheels on: and ordered DJM LCAs for the front and beefed taco 4" blocks for the rear along with some low profile bumpstops. Can't wait to drop it!
Here in Australia a stout is nothing spectacular and so many think why why why waste time and money on one, the chassis was a RK101 which have leaf front springs and a front I beam axle and I would much rather a RK40 or RK43 lite stout chassis with coil front suspension. The cab is a RK45 1960 built 1962 plated one of possibly 10 toyota that were not landcruiser that were privately imported by thiess construction which had never been approved to be used on Australian roads, construction site use only and is extremely rare internationally and it is going to disappear in the back of my shed until...
Nice history lesson buddy. I always like seeing the guys down under posting info for that half the planet. Today on my truck I put the rest of my purple locking lugnuts on. Then went to the hilux cruise and onto a bigger jap/euro show. Then I went and fixed a 78 and a 74 for my friends. We went cruising afterwards. My highlight of the day is a tossup. Either when I tried to pull a rockford (reverse 180) and messed up. Grabbed 3rd gear and they still boiled down. Just didn't move me forward lol. And I yanked a gnarly ebrake 180 to parallel park at my friends house. I can't wait to find a nice big open lot someplace and do some autoX practice and videos. Anybody NW know any good spots for that? Or any tracks?
bet that Rockford was sick just a 180 to 3rd powerstall I would have went for second instead of first less chance of grabbing 3rd
JUst got done doing that! Its like my morning coffee. This is a little preemptive but I found cut rate auto parts sells halo brand led bulbs so im changing out my 194s today.. bout 70 bucks worth. License plate. Corners. Bumper light's (I added 194s there) and gauge cluster! Woot excited
Swapped out rims from my 92 to my 87.Idk I think my Primes fit the 87 better. What do you guys thinkPrimes
Roger thats buddy. I also took the racing seats out of my 92 and put them in the 87 and drove it to work yesterday.(a b!tch to mount btw.I almost made them impossible to remove not by choice)It rained kinda hard on the way there and I was getting ***** water running down the back of my neck.WTF!!I angled the rear view mirror and saw the drivers side corner of my back glass seal was popping out.The seats are way tall and reach all the way to the top of the glass and put a lot of pressure on the window I guess. So I removed the drivers side yesterday and I'm rolling with one racing and one Prelude seat. This one.
While cleaning for a upcoming show I found a crack in a weld @ one of the front bag plates! Will clean area & reweld tomorrow!! I check all the suspension very few months !!!!!
I drove the sh*t out of it! And bought a can of color matched paint for my doors. Redoing my mirrors, no more big ones, going for little chrome peep mirrors.
Put my new 50mm spacers on the front to balance out the poke on the rear got inch and half poke on the rear and 1 inch of poke on the front
