Loaded it up with debris from a yard project we did a few weeks back, and it took it like a champ. Tomorrow's the trip to the dump. Gonna slap some 145/150 jets in it tomorrow, it's running 137/140 right now and bogs pretty good. Should take me a whoppin' 10 minutes to swap 'em. Then a little idle mix adjustment and idle speed.... done. It helps that 90% of my truck is all new.
bro... part of the bolt is stuck in the timing cover lol. so that wont help. and nam. i dont know how it broke. i was only using a 1/4'' ratchet lol.
Got the locked diff installed in the 82 and in the process of breaking it in/heat cycling the gears.... Had to changed out the leaf spring bushings to cause the rear end felt loose, turned out the ubolts were loose aswell! Time to trash them aluminum drop blocks and go for the steel!
how much torque do you guys apply to your u-bolts?! I did mine once and it stayed the same. then did my leaf removal and ever since its stayed put.
I just make it tight till i cant turn it anymore... The problem is the aluminum block... Steel axles win if something has to give.
you dont have to.. get an easy out thats the right size and you should be able to pull the motherfker out through the head.. how did it break anyways ??? why nam, is that what you do and why you have also upgraded to steel blocks ??? hahaha speaking of, im debating a back sticker on my window.. no bags no switches no fat bitches or 2 low for fat hoes....
I guess it was a weak bolt. i was only using a quarter inch ratchet so i shouldnt have got it tight enough to break
Swapped the 137/140 in my carb for 145/150 and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Thing actually has power now, and idles better. Much much better!!!!
got it all back together and she started right up, and has ran better than ever. except i have a coolant leak, and its not the water pump. i cant tell where its coming from
dropped catback, looked in cat, saw that it was collapsing inside. cleansed her out. found out that the manifold to front pipe was missing two nuts and a stud but yeah, missing a nut.
Fixed my Ground cable on my battery, kept coming loose. Also started the install of the speakers I nabbed off CL, ran out of time or I would have drove the truck to work today.
uggg took my tire off again to replace the valve stem 3rd time this week, it has a leak in it and the tire keeps falling off the rim because I guess it looses pressure while driving.. anyways cleaned up the rim and tire so stop leaking... bent my front fenders to stop rubbing on the inside.. and color matched my wheel wells to the outside of my truck !
