used a killer 220V welder from like way back in the day (thing is vintage) to weld up the plates. Everything is so much better knowing the 220 penetrated deeper.

on a sidenote, he said he'll be glad to let me use the welder again. sweet.

after that, primered and sprayed the rear frame gloss black. Can't wait to remount the bed tonight or tomorrow.

    I'm just a lazy ass.
Here's to keep you guys happy.
Anyway, anything better than those ***** MIG welds i created Thursday night.
Thursday night round 1, MIG and plated inside, broke
Thursday night round 2, MIG and got the inner cracks. neato.
Friday night, grind off and stick
Saturday evening, grind off some and plated the outside

    ^^^ 110V's....

Sunday afternoon, grind off and 220V sticked it.

anything better than the 110V's. I feel so much more fckn confident and safer, I'm ready to shove that bed back on.

nice, the old man owns an electric shop, does electric work. He recently bought a lincoln arc welder, forgot what size, it was red though.

The older welder had a huge lever to unlock and lock the amperage settings, that was cool.

So I'm currently sitting in my truck at school. After two weeks of inconsistent starts, I think my battery terminals aren't making good contact. Nothing working now, just gunna wait sis arrives. Shouldn't have left my tool box at home....
