was driving to work this morning when bottom end knocking noise started. Didnt make it to work, engine gave out. Now its raining late afternoon and Im waiting on a flatbed towtruck from work to get me.

V8, i dunno. Tested #1 and #2 and had no pressure. Dunno what caused it. Also a continuation of my other thread about dying out on the freeway. Im thinking of just yanking this motor and dropping another one in so i can get it running, cause i need a car and then just working this one slowly on the side.

What are the most common synthoms for no compression? Bent valves? Bad piston? Seals? I know could be just about anything engine related.

I gots no truck, for now
you just gotta take her apart and see what killed it, crazy things happen inside engines, bent valves, holes blown in pistons, holes in the block, blown head gasgets...who knows, just gotta open her up and look.

yeah ohau, take it apart and figure it out, and when you say no compression you mean zero ? I find that a little hard to beleive from having a running motor to zero compression.. unless you bent a valve or the a hole through the piston.. maybe you did the compression test wrong ? let me know if you want to order any parts for you and ship it usps flat rate to save you some coinage, Ive seen how much sht is over there and its rediculous.

Yeah absolutly zero from #1 and #2. My cousin came over with his tester. The thing you screw into the spark plug hole and it read nothing. Also did the finger test and nothing as well.

Right now im trying to find another motor. Hopefully i can find a running one and swap it right in and then tear this one up on the side. Being completely broke is a major factor though.

And yeah i dunno what happened. I guess motors just die sometimes.

Oh and titan, thanks for the offer. Definatly a money saver right there.

Its got a 22r. Im thinking of the holden commodore V6, but will cost me close to $2000aud for conversion kit/parts. my mate has an 84' 22re he said i can rebuild it, would it be any better than a 22r?
a 2jzge would be wicked. im not sure whats involved in it though.
so, Lux is home and sitting in yard, might go remove seats and work on subbox.

And hayden 3651 automatic temp sesnsor/relay
The main reason i got this fan setup was because it has a lifetime warranty

2 days ago I got pulled over.

Cruising the ghetto hood 4 blocks from my house 10 pm on a side street, a cop is driving the other way with no lights on. I pass him and he flips a U'ey and throws on his lights.

Show him my ins. and license and he runs it and lets me go.

He said my tail light lens is cracked. No ticket though.
