I just got home and gonna install a badly needed water trap for my air tank, gonna measure out how much footage I need for extra fuel line since Im redoing my bridge and 4-link and gonna mount my fuel tank in the rear so I need a longer line and maybe see If I can get some braided steel brake lines and such off ebay .
today i bought some stuff to clean up and paint some brackets and valve cover while i've got everything apart to fix my oil leak.
today i got my ball joint reamers, and drilled my supra spindles to fit my new screw in balljoints also went to the junkyard and grabbed some control arm cross shafts (major pain in the ass using only a 2lb ball peen and a steering shaft!!!!), got some tubing for my upper control arm bushings, but still gotta cut it to size. also called about ordering some d.o.m. tubing, but missed the call when they called back
Bolted in my seat and got 4 deep scratches on my arms, 1 boo boo on my elbow, and a headache from hittin my head on the door jamb... Lets just say i gave up and gave the truck a much needed wipe down..
... found coolant leaking from the head gasket on the driver's side under the exhaust manifold and laughed "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!!!" at the top of my lungs.... my neighbors probably think I'm nuts
Installed my new rear KYB's, both the driver side front and rear shocks were ruptured. Explains the 1 inch drop on the drivers side. Still haven't gotten both front shocks in because I can't get the torsion bar anchor arm off, which means I haven't been able to remove the strut bar, tie rod, and replace the bent control arm.... It's pissin me off. But some progress is better than no progress
today on the freeway i argued with my truck which lane we were supposed to be in.. she wanted to go left, i wanted to go straight...so i threw her on the rack when i got here and figured out i have blown the left lower ball joint and somehow blew out the control arm pivot on that same side. Ive replaced all these parts already, looks like i get to do it again...
well yesterday I had to put the stock rims and tires on my titan to get it to get another alignment since they are dumb and screw it up every time with 22s plus I have to drive an hour to get to a tire kingdom that can do 22s.. went to the topline 250,000 sq foot ware house to find more piston rings because I bent an oil ring.... not fun 2 hours of driving and another 50 bucks gone, im down to 50 bucks in the bank and the motor still isnt in the truck.. hopefully its close to done ! also got the rest of my motor put together today, just a few minor things left to bolt up and she will be ready to go in the truck sometime tomorrow !!!
Guess what after months of looking for a solid back window an no luck of finding one. A guy I sold parts to found 2 of them an sold me one. Thnx Eric. So I got it in after I picked it up today
