Spent saturday getting important parts ready. And discovered something cool...

I have both a reduction and old school starter. Both work good. The old school one is lighter. Who woulda thought.

Parts laid out that im workin on.

Ok here is something cool. My other hybrid build (that never actually started) 3.4 V6 camaro balancer was laying in the blue cart. Looked awefully similar to the yota balancer...

Toyota oil pump seal on GM balancer..

I guess it would be cool to use it if you had, say an M90 blower off of a buick and needed a way to drive the 6 rib belt  And machine in a v groove for the water/alt belt. (Just a thought.)

The toyota crank key is a tad taller. Nothing major.

And the parts after cleaning, blasting and painting.

Sorry to thread jack but V8 you can make your own. But the fittings and hose and stuff and use a rubbish can. Rent the gun when you gotta use it.

All I can say about sandblasting is to have a water seperator on the line.

Cannon intake I got a while ago will be the basis of the fuel injection system. But for now just the 500 Holley  (I painted the red part of the valve cover tonite, did the black base yesterday, and clear will be tomorrow) This is a week old pic.

I want to drive this motor bad! Its getting down to the wire and grrr!

And tonite we washed the truck and took a pic or two.

Nice pics! Everytime you post pics it keeps my inner fire motivated to finish my 82. No disrespect and take over this thread but can you possibly list the front parts I need to go low in the front like your truck? I know you had to update your suspension and your truck looks really sic! Keep those pics coming!!

    ^^ Thanks guys.

Yankee, I have chassistech spindles from airbagit.com. 84-95.
84-95 upper arms, lower arms, ball joints, strut rods.
82 Bushings, shocks, torsion keys, sway a ways, hardware.
95 Lexxus LS400 brakes (but grab 84+ brakes to go with your spindle).

You can drop it 3 more inches than mine statically if you tub it, (I rub bad) and run the dropped lower control arms. Someday I will, but one step at a time.

Ok, did a few things today. I got half of the celica's driveshaft apart and sanded.

New clutch slave, 3 u joints and upper and lower rad hoses will be delivered tomorrow.

Picked up a W58 from a MK3 supra (from a few pgs back). Gunna give it to TRfknD.

And finished painting and got my valve cover just how I wanted it. It isnt much different, but the paint looks better close up. I like it. Opinions?
