cone filter for ATF? lol :D yeah, I'll take a look at that!

Yeah, drop spindles allow a drop without softening the spring rate (which is what cranking the torsions do)

My drop spindles? $227 on stylintrucks.com. For those and the 4 Toxic drop shocks, I paid $408 including shipping.

a fairly good sized ball peen works wonders as well. it centralizes the force to the small spot and stretches it out. then after you have a bunch of low spots, you hit those and then go back to the mini sledge. and the larger ones cant really get a swing in there. some area are a pain. another trick is jack it up, let the tire still touch the ground, and use a scissor jack on top of the tire to the inner fender.

id say just be careful. lol. jack it up and remove the tire. that helps alot. i never pull the fenders. everything i do is because its easier than cutting, or pullin panels, or whatever. if i wanted to go all out it wouldnt be a simple daily. lets see yours make some progress.

    corded highspeed power drill

^^ No I didnt even take the time to cut the extra thread...
I placed one small rubber/ metal spacer for each screw. so the metal doesn't rattle. :D
    [IMG]
^^ if you can figure out what is wrong with this, i give you one forum cookie  and yes i fixed it afterwards
[IMG] my finished product.. i think it looks better than nothing

Overall, the quality of sound improved!
first setup (top of thread) was barely 2 screws and pieces of ripped foam....

btw saving my original template saved my ass a ton. helps for drilling holes and all...

i made metal sparks go all over hte fckn place. then realized how much metal dust there was... sigh, cleaned that up too

Now you need to wrap it. Get your material, lay it on the back side and screw everything down, wrap it around, smooth everything out, and then put in your speakers. That would be a really clean installation.

Since you want to impress the ladies, I am thinking Gater.

Hey, Baby, did you see my GATER wrapped panels back there. OOPPS, you dropped your panties.

CinNAMmon, did you repaint the 4x4 fenders red or is that primer/spray paint? I suggest you sand that bad boy with 2000 grit and polish it with polishing compound. Then buff it out with the buffer FTW :)

Yep, I sprayed it red. It's cherry red too, not cardinal... so its barely off, but better than black lol.

Anyway, just practicing with my photography. I must admit, 30-40 degree weather isnt pleasant for cold hands and a hefty set of lens.

whats involved in that hefty set of lenses? and what are the specs you are shooting at for those? and yea, the lights are making your life a little tougher. best thing is to try and keep them out of shot. if that doesnt work there are other specs and tricks to do to make them not as bright. and to take away that slight bit of grain your getting.

try turning your iso all the way up. turn the flash compensation of the pop up flash all the way down. open your lens apature all the way to full on apature priority. that should give you a weak flash of light which usually is enough to add foreground light to balance out that background noise some. it also gives you a very fast shutter speed. so handheld even in darker areas is no problem. works really great for portrait work indoors with very little light. if i knew the specs of more than just the camera id give more detailed ideas to try.

also if you get back further, and use a long telephoto, of like a 200-300mm size, and frame the same shot, using a low apature, you can set the focus plane to just barely include the truck. that should both narrow the background scale and pull some of the lights out, and also throw them out of focus. and try using center weighted light metering. and kick the white balance to incandescent. or about 5200. lemme see what all that gets you. :D
