On a positive note, i picked this baby up a couple months ago.

 

Yeah I'm gonna do the same if i stay with the 22re. I know exactly how you felt, but i did get about 5 years and 65k miles out of it. Just to let people know this was a Rock HG. In fact most of the parts on the rebuild were Rock. I know they have got some halfway decent reviews but I'm done with this cheap shit

well, the time has come...bye bye 22re, it's been a good run! Time for an engine swap, 2001 2rz with 36k actual factory miles! I got the complete engine, trans, body harness, engine harness, ecu, catalytic conv. Engine/trans also has a racing clutch, short throw shifter, upgraded hi flow fuel injectors, header and high output alternator. So let the fun begin!!

 

Can't wait to see the progress on your 2rz!
