No, been so busy with school..I have most of the parts, school is over on Tuesday for me so I'll have some time to finally make these. I'm going microcontroller so still figuring out the programming I need to do for them as well. I got the sequential code down but still working on the other animations. I'm going for sequential, strobe and maybe fade. I want to make it selectable with a button..we'll see though

How many bulbs are you going to use row x col? IE 1row of 10, 3 rows of 12?

I think if you had enough rows it would be cool to also add a sort of bullseye effect where it starts in the middle and expands out or vise-versa.

3 rows of 10..The possibilities are endless! That sounds cool too..My goal would be, when the truck starts it would go into an "animation mode" and run through a series of animations. Once done it would be a regular turn signal and would blink however i had it set..Something like that might take me a while to figure out...

    Whats up with your projectors?

I started by scraping but was taking much too long plus i was putting grooves in it..So i used emery cloth, not sure of the grit but just regular emery cloth..came off much easier!! At the end i switched to alcohol and was even easier..

Nothing is painted on the gauge faces, i think its the glare that makes it look white..but I used photo film on the tach's red area to really make it red, because it was a nasty faded red after sanding..You can get the film free from a photo shop in your area..its a sample booklet..the name of it is in my thread i think..I think its called roscoe something..don't remember

Got the prototyping done on my newly coming turn signals..I'm going to try and have another flash sequence which will be selectable by push button. Probably gonna go with a strobe flash, here is my sequential flash

Finished my first custom circuit board, designed, etched, drilled and populated by yours truly! Programming for animation was also done by me.

    Printed layout from Eagle CAD
    [IMG]

after ironing on the layout on copper clad board, and dropped in etchant
    [IMG]

    during etchant process
    [IMG]

    after completely etched
    [IMG]

wiping off mask to reveal copper
    [IMG]

after drilled and populated ready to rock!

This has a 10 channel output, animation can be changed..all i have to do is take out the microcontroller and reprogram

    haha thanks!

Thanks guys! If i'm going to sell these I would like them to be a little nicer, the traces on the board are not as detailed as I would like if I were to sell them, gonna try an alternative to magazine paper for transferring the layout that will make the transfer much more precise and detailed, here is an example of how it "bled" a little bit, and you can see the pits in the copper..would like to get it completely filled
    [IMG]

If the demand is high enough, I may even send my layout to a professional and have them done up proper!!:waytogo:

    They do work tho!!:D

no i used magazine paper, i read it works well and is obviously cheap if you have old magazines..It works ok for me, but if i'm going to sell these I want it better..Gonna try Press n Peel blue next!
