So I'm guessing it still doesn't work.Yes I have two wires on that side.I didn't mention that when you first posted those pics because mine is from a 91 that I converted from efi to carb.I would have to pull it apart and trace it.So what happened with the other white wire? What did you find? What did you do?Still no power to anything?
got powere now but the thing is u no were we have are 40amp on the fuse box well when its not in i have power and when its in i have no powere lol well i have power at my hazerds but nothing alse
Ok so I'm officially lost.40 amp in no power 40 amp out power to hazards? Can you be more clear and maybe shed some more light on how this whole problem started.
hey guys im back been working to much to get on TM and to work on my truckbut now that i have some time i found out why i have no power to my harnes i just need u guys to help me with these wires and how they go
The green 40amp fuse has two white wires the 30 amp has red/ blue wire and red/white wire Your blue wire looks to be in the right location on the relay in the bottom pic it comes out of the relay and goes into the harness it appears both white wires of the 40 amp go into the harness I know still f$&&kin a pain in the ass chasing wires ha
Scrub88 ya man it's a Pain in the a$$ but found my problem but don't no if both white and blue go 2gether because there is only one white wire off the harness that is broke so ya I'm thinking they go 2gether but don't want to connect them and then F up something other then what my problem was already I think I'm going to take a trip to the junk yard and check out one over there thx guys I'll keep u posted
That proably be a good idea go to the yard and and look or rip the whole harness of the truck it's hard to chase the problems when everybody's hundreds of miles apart
if anyone can help me out with this still having the same problem no powere i think it has somthing to do with this fuse tho cuz i keep blowing it over and over agen so just wanted to no what its for?
Ignition switch wires from what I looked at that's the fuse for it pretty sure bad or faulty ignition and or starter relay located on passenger fender well
ya thats what im thinking but i dont no that much on wireing and to top it off i dont no how to read wireing diagrams
Wiring diagrams can be a pain on much newer cars or should say very complex . I would check your ignition switch wires in the steering colum especially were they connect to the key cylinder ignition mechanism look for hot spots or burnt wires touching something Il il have to look at th diagram again but I think the white wires also run into the starter relay but I gotta check first
Unplug your connector from your alternator the green clip and the positive power wire that bolts to the alternator stick a fuse in and see if it blows
If u do that and it blows that means its not the alternator make sure the power wire doesn't ground and spark while its disconnected . Turn the ignition to start and see if the fuse survives . Looks like the the white wires/40amp travel thru the ignition and alternator try eliminating each device one buy one
iirc that is your main fuseable link, luckily that eliminates nothing... what is the wire color going to it? does the fuse pop when you put it in? with the key in "on" or "acc"? or only when you hit the starter? no matter what, you have something shorting out. on that fuse is only big draw things: ignition switch, coil, interior fuse box and alt. x2 on disconnect and isolate the wires to the alt and test. i found out the hard way that stock alts dont like to jump and had a similar issue with an old celica.
