just ideas on where to buy /what kind/brand of radiator to get.
i drove home n smelled coolant, thought i blew a hose or something, but seen the top of radiator was leaking = fuKen crakked!! it was replaced with a aftermarket one when i got it. so.... just wondering if i should stick to the same style (aluminum + plastic) or upgrade to full aluminum one.

sup guys. just another build update....

got my aluminum radiator ordered. (on the way) hopefully it wasnt a scam. still waiting on it, little over a week now. horrible service/ship time but was cheap.

found me a 4.10 gear set -- for FREE!!!!!!! i love working at a dealership! came out of a 02 "JT" 4Runner Limited. rear end gear is 7.5 with 4.10 gears!!! score!!! gonna install when i get my radiator.

also bot me a LCE "Pro" clutch kit. got my flywheel machined. will be installing all together.

Hard to find gearing for those 7.5ers.How much did your fly wheel end up weighing after the machine shop.

You have to check the information plate and it gives you something like this:
    C/TR/A/TM 138 HR11 G282 A130H or C/TR GJ7/KQ41 A/TM G251/R150F
These numbers are the Color (paint) code, Trim Code, Axle Code, and Transmission Code. You will also need to check the first few digits of you VIN #.
The first position of the Axle Code is a letter which identifies the diameter of the ring gear. Toyota trucks and 4Runners have always used the 7.5" and 8" diameters, but the others are listed here for completeness. The first table applies to Japanese-built Toyotas, which have VIN numbers beginning with "JT". The second smaller table applies to North American vehicles with a VIN beginning with "4T"

I could use some help here figuring which codes are common! If your truck or 4Runner (heck, even your car) has code elements which are NOT highlighted above, please email me with your C/TR/A/TM code, engine type, transmission type, model year, stock tire size, and country of purchase of your truck, and I will update the table.

    05 = 3.15 06 = 3.91 C = 2 Pinion, OEM Limited Slip
We've found a number is discrepancies in this second table, so don't take it as gospel. The first table has so far proven to be accurate.

naw, i heard that if u lighten it u need a "heavier" duty clutch, like a 4 or 6 puck super hard compund and super strong pressure plate. cuz flywheel will be spinning way faster (from less weight) so u need stronger holding power.

but wat u think of my application? my truck gots the stock W55 (celica) trans. with 4.10's .bone stock motor. i know it'll be a little quicker off the line, hopefully its enuf to get me to jump in the lead n hold it for the win down the 1/4mile.
i also have an extra 50 shot....

there are a few guam guys running cams, headers, exhaust. weber/mikuni (idk wat size) and i think a few of those have gears. they running about low-mid 17's. but just street driving my truck light-to-light, it feels quicker as is. maybe its the trans. not sure. lots to learn. pay attention Jaybizzle!

idk, not sure about the W55 (celica) or the regular W56. i guess the 56 gots more lower end 1st n 2nd gear for better start off the line but u shift more quicker. the celica gears are a little wider so u can build up speed n wind engine longer.

damn chelu, power window and new carpet. mines gots a/c and P/S also. cannot go without a/c over here!!

so i found out that the door sticker on the runner that i got the diff from was wrong for some reason. tore the diff down, it is a 4.10 -but its a 8inch. will not fit in my truck. so my plan was to find (somehow) like a 3.9 or something, i kinda dont really wanna go that high 4.10 or 4.11 but if i have to at least the trans is a little wider gear ratio. was thinking of finding gears from a supra or at least an LSD. -or if i just get an LSD n keep stock 3.5 gears. still in da works.

worst case scenario -i find a whole 8in rear end n swap my stock one.

ya, was thinking about it more, i think i wanna stay with the 7.5, but gonna be hard to find gears. i for sure dont wanna go higher than 3.90, prob a 3.7 will do best. i still wanna drive on the freeway without redlining my motor.

n more new goodies, santa came early.

pic of machined stock flywheel, n aluminum radiator. gonna install on wed n finally start driving my truck again!
