AWESOME build dude. Have you noticed a road noise difference with the sound proofing? I want to replace my carpet and sound proof my floor too.
Yotaman, Any progress on the Ford 8.8? I think my diff is about on it's last legs, so seeing this as another option intrigues me. Mine is pretty much bone stock right now, so it might be worth it to just pull a yota axle from the yard if I can hold out for one, but they're few and far between here in Ogden. I would imagine a newer Ford axle would be a bit easier to come by.
it's still sitting. I am going to completely rebuild the whole thing before I put it in. I am waiting on my new front brakes to come in from revolution brakes. Then I'll start working on the rear end. But there is a tech write up on here about the 8.8 it's a good read check it out!
I think I did read through one either here or on yotatech, but I'm a little hesitant on pounding a portion of the gas tank out of the way so the drive shaft will fit. Also I wasn't clear on how to hook up the e-brake. I'll definitely do some more research on it, though. Maybe when yours is done I'll have to head down your way and take a look at it. Are you rebuilding the Ford diff yourself?
I will probably do it myself but I won't put it in since I am going to be putting in a 1 uz and a w58 tranny and I don't wanna shorten my drive shaft twice!
I pulled a leaf spring and added air shocks the ride is night and day difference! And it looks bad ass!
Does anyone know the torque spec of the LCA and the wheel stud hub to the main hub? I've looked all over and can't seem to find them. Thanks!
