what happens when your bored? you do a ball joint flip that's what! Top, still wet from the cleaner spray, lol Bottom w lock washers as spacers end result: I ended up turning the torsions up 5 threads, about 1/4" of threads, she was to low and I had no turning radius So the fender is right above the tire.
how much of a drop does this mod give you? i know there is a write up somewhere but i havent been able to track it down.
you should to a write up on this!!! im interested in this mod.. hoe long did it take? my only question is, if it moves the rear end back 0.50" back then what stress is put on the drive line if any?
I researched this mod online. some people can go 2" up on the Nissan's, its been around for some time. I didn't read about any issues people were having. I did read where some trucks needed a new inside plate to be welded on. I could probably do this in under an hour. It took me longer because I did not have the right size drill bit so I went out and bought one. you just make a template, take your measurements, check your measurements, use a center punch to mark your new spot, pilot hole, enlarge it a bit and then enlarge it some more and you're set. move on to the next one, 4 holes later, bolt up and go.
Installed Monroe air shocks in rear ftw. now I can load things up and the truck wont sag. right now my street bike is on it and the truck is leveled out. ftw.
did you measure how much you got on the BJ flip? Curious if its actually 1"..Im doing new BJs next weekend on my truck.
The measurement difference I got was 1.25" of drop with the ball joints flipped. The lock washers I used as spacers are .25". Its simple and free, can't beat that, lol
It helps having experience, lol I had 10 years into this truck. http://www.toyotaminis.com/forum/build-up-project-threads-25/my-truck-8977/
