My plans are to mainly just get it back to being nice, fixing the rust and repainting areas that need it and recovering the seat. I want to keep it mainly original outside and inside, with little things being different and it will eventually be lowered probably just 3". Ill definitely be putting in a better stereo and possibly a sub behind the seat. The motor is going to be a little more lively with the help of a Weber 32/36, RV2 Cam and a header.. I'm trying to not throw a bunch of money into it but its getting the love it needs..

Nice. That's exactly what I like, a lowered, bone stock, original paint truck with maybe a nice set of rims and sounds.

Today I had an eventful day..

My fuel pump started showing signs that it is going out. It started to buck then just bogged down and died. Thankfully I was doing about 40mph and could roll into a parking lot. I could start it and it would run for a second then Id blip the throttle and it would bog and die..

I was able to drive it home after letting it sit and cool down for 30+ minutes. $77 later:mad: I got a new in tank pump, and decided to pull the bed off to put it in. Thankfully all bolts came out nice and easy with my impact!:clapping: Hopefully all goes well while replacing my pump, and I will try to fix my sender unit as well.

I also pull of the bumper, headlight surrounds/grill and fender to do some body work and cleaning.

So today I replaced my fuel pump, which went incredibly easy! Found out my fuel guage wont ever work below about 7/8 of a tank because the wire is broken on the resistance windings..

While I had off the bed I gave it all a good cleaning and a coat of Rustoleum flat black paint and put on some new shocks.

Personally, I think it is the most god awful green. But it is staying that color simply because it is just that awesome, and nobody else has this color:D

If you look at cars from the 70s and 80s, you had Apple Green BMW's, Sky Blue Land Cruisers, Plum crazy Chrysler's, Pea Green Benz's and Tangerine Volvo's. Colors that put today's cars to shame.
Today, you have boring black, white, gray or silver. Even the reds and blues are murky and muted. Every other truck on this board is either red, white or black. Finding an early ride with the original color is a gem in itself.

Thats a very good point, Im just not a fan of green. But it is definitely staying this color, and I dont even have thought of possibly changing it.

Once you get it to where you want it, the color isnt going to matter.

That is the background on my phone, and a major reason for me getting the generation of truck I did.:)

The back is how low i want my truck, just enough to be at top of tread. That way its lowered but still very useable, without doing major modifications.

That would be awesome! How much you asking for them?

Does your parts truck have a fuel pump relay?
