well haven't been around much lately. been lurking around but haven't had a whole lot going on with the truck besides adding miles to it every day.

I did however sell my old civic that I had for some extra cash

so over the months we found a house I got a second job to help pay for the remodel. meaning the little Toyota became a daily again had to throw the canopy on it for the winter (not that we had snow) but its is extra weight for the slippery days
    [IMG]

now that my son is finally here and we are sorta moved in to the new place ive started back on to the Toyota went and picked up some Gabriel air shocks for the back and in stalled those threw on the original wheels that came with thee truck so I can start refinishing the starions

    heres the little man himself(Jaxon)

If you pull the middle leaf spin the overload around backwards and it'll help to avoid axle wrap. Once you drop it more you'll need to do a mini notch of the frame and the cross member above the diff if you want any up travel at all.

I do all my own work. Check out my build thread and you can decide if you want me to do it. I work cheaper than most anyone. I'm in tri cities so I'm not too far away but not across the street either.

Since you want to go lower and you aren't bound by any rules as to suspension mounting like I am you should look into using frenched spring hanghangers and replacing the shackles with sliders from speedwaymotors.com. That's what I'm going to do with my 84 if I ever make the time to do it so I can keep all the leafs in the packs and not have a compromise going on.

Frenched hangers raise the front mount of the leaf springs up into the frame so you can keep the same weight carrying ability while still having a dumped in the dirt truck. Slider boxes let the shackle end of the spring rest up at the frame level yet allow for full movement of the springs. Again so the factory ride and payload is retained. I just spotted a sweet notch kit while looking up the sliders that could be worth looking into as well.

Nice parts stash! I'm pretty well slammed for the next 6 weeks or so but then I'll be cutting back to a standard 40 hour schedule. I'll let you know when it slows down.

Are you going to use that core support or use your existing one already in the truck?

Ok so after traveling north for a hour I finally picked up my 4runner front end. Well to my surprise it also came with a power steering set up just need to find a pulley. Also scored a partial grey center consul and a decent grey sr5 driver seat (now in search of a passenger seat) and all for free I might add hahah:waytogo: dude was super cool so after 3 hours and 200$ bucks later it's finally home and prepping plans begin

Seat looks brown in the light
