Great video. I need to get back to the 1UZ swap in my 89 pickup.
I got sidetracked with a 1UZ+R150F+2WD to 4WD+Solid front axle swap in my 1993 4Runner

About to pull heads to have checked by machine shop. Have a trans+tcase ready. Have a solid front axle from an 82 pickup.
I made the mistake of visiting the owner of Northwest Toys in OR. He makes 1UZ swap parts - headers, engine mounts, flywheels, etc. He had a customer's Gen2 4Runner I had a chance to look at. It changed my mind from a 5VZ swap in my 4Runner to a 1UZ.

Nice work on that radiator core. That's some serious work.

Hope all is well in here. The mini is still alive and healthy as can possibly be :). Got lots of upgrades to the truck coming soon.

That idle sound is delicious. Got a nice muscle car thump down low but the race car quad cam sound up high.

3K RPM at 70, I bet that was 4th gear. Sweet.

Do you have any more info on the engine mounts? I'm starting to put my 92 back together and I'm not really sure how to go about making mounts, and im sure you already know Google is coming up empty. Besides your awesome thread of course.

Check page 10 of this thread that’s when I made mine. Wasn’t pretty as I was new to fabrication at the time, but they been solid for yrs now. Much luck on the build!

Omg I have to drop my truck and put wheels on it. Did you have any wheel well/clearance issues with 15x10 front or back?

Every once in a while depending on how fast I’m going/ how bad the bumps is, it rubs a hair or two in the rear. The truck is lowered on 3” blocks in the rears.

I got a few more things to work out, i see you used a front sump 1u right?
Had planned on using a 91 ls400 which i believe is the same. and i looks like you didn't have any clearance issues.

My main issue is im not the best at the fab part so the motor mounts will be the death of me.

The Pickup is looking, sounding, and running excellent!

What radiator did you end up going with your current setup?
