Thanks bro. Been a long time coming.
Well the first issue came up last night. Drove to a BBQ at a friends house and a small section of hose at the heater core sprung a leak. Wasnt too bad. Figured it out last night and fixed it earlier today. Now i just need to add more coolant for what was lost during the leak and repair.
Hopefully il get that done tomorrow
After fixing that coolant leak everything has been good. Shes taking miles like a champ and we hit 100 today
...miles that is...
Awesome work so far! Wheel fitment looks on point!
Thanks bro. Wheels may change soon.
Well i noticed the other day that the clutch MC is leaking a bit inside the cab. Already have the new MC on its way. Hoping to replace it this week
Just realized i havent updated this thread in a while. Swapped the Clutch MC and it fixed he problem.
I had made a stereo console thing a while back and This past weekend i finally got around to starting on a center console. Speakers are mounted and wired, stereo will sit in front of the shifter and it will all kind of tie in together.
Right on, I dig it.
I need to get on it with my stereo, tired of the BT speaker i've been using, lol. I was planning to do exactly what you're doing, but since I've got a bench my speakers would be off the sides of the center console/head unit box.
Looks Good .
I was considering doing that same all in one type but i didnt want the box to be too big and have me kicking it all the time. Plus id still have to build a console.
Im liking how its turning out so far though
Got some stuff done since the last post.
Got the top section of the console cut out, shifter hole cut and cupholders dropped in. Its mocked in place for now with a few drops of glue here and there.
Stere is wired and sounding pretty good. Glove box cubby is back in.
Oh and I ripped the headliner off, removed most of the foam remains and slapped a piece of sound deadener on it and i have to say it made a good difference.
On to some pics.
Threw my old sarape/poncho thing ive had since i was a kid on there to cover up the speakers
And i used some self tapping screws on the side of the glove box cubby to hold it in place
Lookin Good! Stylish and functional.
Hit 300 miles on the odometer yesterday. Glad shes holding together lol.
Couple of random pics
Awesome dude! that has gotta feel great.
and I dig those seats, the diamond stitching is sweet
Its a good feeling driving this thing. Much funner than the other cars we have.
And thank you. Im still very happy with how they turned out
is that just MDF that you made the center console out of? are you coating it or using it as a mold of some sort?
nice. makes me miss my lux
Your build made me want this truck bro.
Well looks like il be at Toyota Fest in Long Beach this year.
Now i really have to buckle down and somehow get shit done
