There aint too much that's unique about rotor swapped hilux's where I'm from. We've had people on that buzz for about 15 years in NZ. It's so played out that the trend finally started dying off two or three years ago. Granted though, well built and tuned rotors do sound amazing. There's a fella down here who put 2 20b's together for the worlds first running six rotor. Sounds amazing in person.
The height of the 4 and 6bt motors is the problem when putting them into the Toyota's. the length is not so much of a problem and actually helps with weight bias by putting a bit more weight on the rear tires. I always thought a 7.3 powerstroke might be a bit easier to fit in because it is a bit lower and maybe a bit shorter length wise but obviously a bit wider but that fits better. I think a automatic will be a bit easier to do as far as linkage for the shifter and easier on the frame.
