If you have any pics of the setup that would be great. The fuel pump and how you ran all your wires. Thanks. This will be my first carb setup and I'd like to do side drafts like you any tips would be great

I used a tester to find key on power.I think all of those where black with red stripe.I kept the temp sensor and oil sensors.I think that was it.You will also need to find a vacuum advance distributer.Do you have a set of sides yet? What intake will you use.I have a Mikuni 2 peice shorty on my 87 with a dog bone setup. There is also a Canon intake that is longer and can be tapped for a NOS set up as where the Mikuni skorty's can't.I think there is also a ofenhauser intake for 22r.Here's an older pic of the sides on my 87.I have changed a few things since then but setup is still the same[IMG]I will take some pics of the 4x's motor and post it for you. It's a really simple conversion once you pull out all the EFI stuff.

Check this out.So yesterday I got the rear set of Boggers mounted and balanced.I can only do two at a time because all the weight in the back is causing my tires to rub on the rear fenders.Anyways I rushed home all excited to slap them on to see how they look.Mind you these b!tches are pretty heavy. So I put on the right side then moved over and did the left side.Took me a while and I was sweating pretty hard but I was happy and the adrenalin was pumping. So after I'm done I walk back a ways so I can get a good look at the truck to admire the new look and I realized I fkin put those mthr fakers on backwards.I was like"aah you stupid idiot".My wife even came out and asked me who am I yelling at.I just left it like that and plan on mounting the fronts today so I'll just switch them around one shot.[IMG]

Oh cool thanks. I was thinking of finding a cannon intake mani and some mikuni 40mm carbs. What you think?
If I can't find that I'll probably just use a offy manifold with a weber 32/36
Those Swampers look tough man good job

How did you guys go about cutting the inner fenders out? Mine are buckled too and was thinking of just getting rid of them. Does it cause flex in the front core support?

Got the tires mounted on the truck(the correct way)and drove it around over the weekend. It rubs on a couple spots so I'm going to need to make a few cuts to the front bumper and valance and the rear fender.[IMG]

First pull the fenders off and get yourself some masking tape to use as your line.We got up as close as we could to the fire wall and just went for it.Same thing on the core support side. Then we just rounded off the sharp corners and painted. The OEM core support is pretty strong so no that does not flex.On my 87 I used an after market core support after I got into a reck and that's not as strong but it still holds good with just the fender supporting it.I should in the future reinforce it with some pipe.Thinking to just run it inside the upper lip of the fenders and bolt it to the fire wall side and the core support. Here's another pick of my nyao's own.I think we used some seam sealer too just to seal up those cuts better.[IMG]here's mine before I got the after market one.You see the upper corners on the core support?Cut it like that for better support when you bolt down the fenders[IMG]here's one with the after market one as I was mounting the fenders. Not as strong[IMG]

Sounds good to me.The Canon intake with the Mikunis is what most boys run out here.I have 40's in mine and they perform great.I just gotta run filters or else they get dirty fast because no inner fender walls.

front drivers side caliper on my 92 started locking up on my way to work this morning.Guess I gotta start using the 87 as my daily till I get me a new caliper. That means about $20 a day in gas instead of $10.[IMG][IMG]

So with the fender wells cut out, I assume the battery is in the bed. What did you do with the fuse box and the ignition coil? Ill have to relocate my fpr too lol. And finished shots of the bay?

I have an alluminum battery box in the back with a pad lock securing it to the eye on the bed.The coil and ignitor is mounted to the radiator support up front and the fuse box is mounted to the firewall.[IMG][IMG]I haven't taken any recent pics of my engine bay but I'll do that and post them up.Shoots.

i thought about putting the coil onto the radiator support, good to see great minds think alike! that shot would help with my last question of the fuel lines. i know from the factory they are held on by a clamp that gets bolted to the fender well. did you just cut yours back to the firewall and run a new line from there? thanks for all the help with my many questions lol!

Got a Snug Top camper from a friend for free.No back glass but over all pretty cherry just needs a paint job.The window looks cracked in the pi but its a reflection of my clothes line in the background.I painted it late yesterday afternoon and it should be ready to mount to my 4x when I get home from work today.[IMG]

Those swamper tires are sick! I wish they made tires like that in mini-truck size. Tucking some mini-swampers under a ratted, dropped mini would give it such a Mad Max look.

This is a 90's rear with 1'1/2 spacers to keep the rims flush.just welded the brake line mounting bracket to the other side and she was good to go.He originally put on some like 19' fatty rims that looked sik but it chowed the inner fronts within like two weeks so he is going to upgrade the front suspension soon. Those are American Racing rims with skinnies up front.
