After seeing this truck on FB marketplace and watching it fall in price for over a year, I finally succumbed to poor financial decisions and bought this little yellow 1975 Longbed that's been smirking at me.

I love the color, the rust spots, and the clean interior. I do not love the advanced body rust and will need some practice welding very thin metal before I start tackling the floor boards (rotten out at the front body mounts). It runs and drives right now, but I'll be disassembling it to blast and paint the frame and all underbody components. I'll freeze the current body patina/rust as-is, as best I can. I especially love the look of the tailgate. The big deal is that I bought it to convert to electric. I'll post up here as I go, but it'll be a bit before I start showing real progress; still assembling all the parts and pieces and knowledge first.

I don't intend to change the ride height, but I would like to get the smoothest ride possible. Can I get some suspension suggestions, please? The truck will be slightly heavier than original with the addition of the batteries being installed under the bed, so I'll need a bit more support out back. The electric motor will be twice as powerful as the original engine :D
