Sort of. Yes the corvette still runs leaf suspension but it has been a single slab of fiberglass not an off the shelf leaf pack like most would think of when that is suggested.

Then it sounds like an IRS swap probably isnt the route to go.

I have thought about the C5 Corvette and my '77 Longbed...the suspension would allow lots of low, but with travel and bed retention! They have almost the same wheelbase, so I thought Corvette underneath and Lucy on top. But retain the complete Corvette underpinnings you WOULD have to cut up the body to get low...but the motor and suspension (minus the torque tube for moar low) under a ToyotaMini would be the tits! Check this truck out! Cool story! <--Just like that but Toyota bed floor retention (this is the biggest hurdle) and moar lowerer!

I think the leaf idea is rad! I think bed cutting is-what-it-is...but stock appearance is so cool when low! And a bed is why I bought a truck...I think with something like corvette rear suspension is just the right answer, and I think that with the right setup you could still haul...albeit not a ton, but maybe close to a 1/2 ton.

    How's the truck coming along.

Ever think of swapping in the Supra IFS as well?

With the IRS. The track width is different front to rear and the wheels will. Look weird IMHO.

I'm running wheel spacers up front. The rear was only approx 1.5" wider.

Hey man that front setup is sick I like the brackets you made. You said that you re enforced it. Do you have pics of the front end finished with the bracing?

Also when you ordered the qa1's, you ordered the bearing mount and not the poly mount correct?
