tacobo670 - thanks bruh. one of my fam was saying i should paint match the wheels to the body whenever i get it redone. not sure about that as i kinda like the maroon / gold look for now. im debating on chrome front end / mirrors / door handles or staying with black. may just roll with the black knowing me and keep that "base model" look to it.

lowering blocks didnt come in yesterday, probably see them monday or tuesday. so today i just might go to the junk yard in search of a window regulator since mine gave out on me yesterday. (atleast the window was stuck in the closed position lol ) May also start deleting all the emissions / vacuum stuff that isnt needed since i may have a leaking line or two anyway.

after driving the truck across town yesterday to watch a few football games and see my daughter cheer, im thinking this truck is going to be more of another toy (no pun intended) then my Lightning lol. :waytogo:

ya. idk, i've always had a little different style than the conventional cookie cutter style of the trucks. everyone swapping to the 4x4 front end, chrome, etc. IMO, on these trucks (unless its a super cherry show truck) i dont really care for chrome. just more shtuff to polish/clean lol

i just bot my blocks at pep boys. they are generic ones, universal fit. they installed ok with very little fab work. havent really driven around seeing as how i pulled my oil pan n front cover off. (check out my page, lots of pics of the tear down n the lowering.)

u have power windows? u dont really need emissions stuffs if u register ur truck as "classic vehicle" -if u wanna go that route. only restriction is mileage per year, obviously.

I have my "classic" rod tags on it right now lol. Deleted majority of emissions items, just need to buy some vac caps now.

Finally got the 4 inch blocks installed. Stupid rusted bolts made it fun lol. All done with hand tools lol. Now to go lower on front via bars (got about another 2 inches from the top of the lock nut) or flip the ball joints. No bump stops on at all right now.

So far I've only done the bars and 4 inch blocks. Removed all bump stops and it rides pretty decent. I've owned a few slammed cars in the past and this ride hasn't been bad. It did settle a little more so the front is a hair lower then the rear which is fine by me lol.

    Thanks!

When i was running static, i did 3" blocks, took out 1 or 2 leaf springs in the back.
Took the bars out and just ran shaved bump stops. I was right at 2" yet it road for the most part ok.
I went with bags when i got stuck on a set of rail road-tracks trying to cross them.
