Just got this and can't wait to fix it up a bit. It runs pretty great and I've got all of the receipts for everything done to it for the last 43 years, including the original bill of sale. $5600!

I'm looking to fix the rear bumper, front running/turn light, fix some seals on the windows and floor. I don't have any idea where to start which is why I'm here.

I think I also might need to add a catalytic converter to pass emissions. Fun stuff... (Nope, it's got a cat.) But I still might need to do some stuff to pass emissions.

Looks like a great find! Paint looks like it'll come back around with a little bit of work

    Thanks for the welcome!

    My priorities are now clearer:
*Find out where it's letting in water when it rains...
*Fix the dieseling and sometimes gunshot out the tailpipe after it stops.
*Diagnose the scraping sound that occurs when the clutch is out on every gear except 4th. (I hear that's a main shaft bearing deal.)

Window gaskets would be the best starting point, front and rear. After that id do the dollar test on the door jambs

Thanks Jetas. Are you talking about all of them or specifically the door windows? I did find a missing spot of gasket on the passenger side. I put a temporary solution in place to see if that helps. It'll rain soon and I'll find out.

Mostly the water pools up on the floor but either condensation or another leak collects water on the bottom of the windshield on both sides. I'm hoping it's condensation but I might need to replace the windshield gasket.

Honestly the windshield gasket would be the first place to look. Then the door jamb weatherstrips.
