Well I finally got the time and money to paint her, then I decided that if I was going to put large vinyls down the side, they would look better on a smooth surface. So I shaved the body lines down the side of the truck.

Heres the vinyl that will be going down the sides..

Then I finally got rid of that 3rd brake light. I will be installing 6 leds in the space just above the rear window and the roof.

Some pics of her getting primed...

If you look close, you can see the holes for the leds..

Well here she is after first coat.... ah love that Blue...

Nice color. I've been wondering how that stuff looks. Are you gonna spray their clear coat on it too? How did you shave your body lines? Did you make filler plates and weld them in of just pack them full of bondo?

I felt that the body lines weren't that deep to warrant welding a filler plate. I first stripped off the paint, to bare metal. I then filled a portion of it with fiberglass, then bondo on top.

Yes. i'm going to use their clear coat as well.

I using Duplicolor Paintshop. The color is true blue, a metal flake.
The paint comes in quarts, took close to 4 qts for me for 1 coat, planning on doing 2 coats and doing at least 3 coats of clear. Each qt is $20.
Check out this site, this what I'm doing in my garage.
