I used to get an EGR code 71 randomly before I removed my EGR. If i got on the highway it would clear itself within 2 miles. Since I removed my EGR and put the 10k resister in the plug for the temp sensor I have not thrown any Check engine cel's since. Truck seems to be running normally. Looking into going a step further and eliminating the crankcase vent tube and pcv valve tube with breathers now.

 

Been over a month now. Still no codes and no issues running crankcase breather. Truck runs normal.
