If you've ever watched any Scooby-Doo shows the van they used to drive was named the "Mystery Machine". Someone made a poor attempt to copy the paint design of the van onto the Toyota.
Theres actually a business in my area that has a van painted like the Mystery Machine. Looks pretty good too, i just forget what van it is
This old man still has 1 W58. 2 22REs out of some early 80s celicas. And an 83 and a 72-74 hilux. Hes very reasonable on pricing.
Found this earlier. Worth it for the carb alone http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/pts/5517135877.html
That Bakersfield guy with the 73 was pretty nice - hooked me up with the one dash vent he had, for free! Found a couple near me if anyone's lookin' A 78 that looks pretty good. I like the spare set of wheels he has, maybe I'll see if he'll part them out: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/5523446042.html Here's a 75 for those interested in a pre-smog, not sure why you WOULDN'T. Very tempting to snatch it up vs deal with the little body work and paint my truck needs, but other than that my truck's in pretty good condition. Plus, my wife would for sure kill me if I brought home another toy. Don't think it's running though based on pics of no carb installed on 22r swap: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/5517214375.html Keep seeing this guys ad for some parts: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/pts/5498405899.html
I know, right? For the price I was debating snatch it up instead of doing the body work and painting my current 75. Wouldn't make that much sense since my interior is pristine and has all new glass and seals
^i could.....but the PO did a lot more than that on my truck -- technically all i need to do is deal with a 4 dents and paint it really. I just like original patina.
If that's the truck that I think it is, its not worth anywhere near the $1200 asking price. It's local to me and the PO Beat the everlovingshit out of it.
