Never seen that before. Thanks for posting.
Anyone in Buffalo wanna do me a yuge solid and snag these wheels for me?
And anyone ever try to run these?
@Smugmetal those look cool. I love the guys post on receiving payment. He will except nothing but cash in hand. Human interaction paper money exchange. Love it.
@nottoshabi exactly haha. None of that e-lectric money, ya hear? Only cold, hard cheddah
Heep wheels should fit, but no way I'd pay that much for the 2nd set of 5 you linked.
Agreed. I like the turbine wheels better anyway. But it's a 3hr drive to Buffalo so not sure I'll end up getting them
Jap Long Box?...
Pretty good deal
So on my quest to figure out which route to take with replacing my blown engine this popped up locally. Guy wants $600 for the 20r and I'm super tempted to pickup the 5spd trans too.. but he wants $400 for that. Thoughts on his asking price? Might offer like 750 for the two. How's the tranny swap from 4spd to 5spd?
Someone parting out 78 Hilux in LA: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/cto/d/1978-toyota-hilux-sr5/6641475495.html
71 Hilux for only $2k: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/d/1971-toyota-hilux-20r-and-5sp/6636160595.html
The guy parting the truck out is asking a lot for the parts. Wanted $300 for the tailgate
Considering our trucks are 40 years old, I don't see $300 for what appears to be a dent and rust-free tailgate being absurd. If you need it, you need it and will likely pay for it.
Speaking of high valued used parts -- I got quoted $700 + shipping for two A pillars, for my Oldsmobile - yeah, guess I'm gonna hand-fabricate/replicate those rusted sections, lol.
Complete front IFS subframe w/disc brakes off a Hilux/Stout. Might be good for someone looking to upgrade from drums up front.
Jesus! Seeing what theyre asking for it makes me feel much better about paying 150 for the complete subframe when i got mine
Bump! looks to be a pre-smog 75 Hilux (that may have a removable top!? Pics aren’t clear to me but that’s what I’m seeing based on that a and b-pillar and the pic from the back - maybe a chinook to pickup conversion? Looks leaky to me but still cool). He’s also got a Chinook, lol. $1500 the ad says
Definitely looks like a removable top. All it needs is Daytons and a dump/tilt bed and itl be solid
If you go that far might as well have some airbrushed mural and metal flake paint, too! lol
Pre-smog 1973 $3k https://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/d/citrus-heights-1973-toyota-pickup/6981746032.html
That looks like a nice one
