Dont know if any of you have seen my build thread recently but I applied for a custom plate. It says COPBAIT. I get pulled over so much for stupid random garbage I thought this would be a nice touch. Here is a pic.
Ok the problem is if you have tint, diferent color lights and do stupid stupp your going to get pulled over and messed with. But if you keep your stuff stock and just have it lowered or bagged and riding ok hieght they wont mess with you really. Plus what i learned and was told that helps is if you dont look scared when they come around you. Meaning dont start gripping the wheel real hard and every couple of seconds looking in your mirrors at them. just set back and cruise and relax and give them a smile and wave to show you know they are there and you have nothing to hide or eligle on you or your truck. Cop buddy told me to do that and ever since ive been doing that i have not been messed with.
Trust me I dont look scared I look like I want to pull over and shoot them hahahahha. I think the reason they decide to leave after pulling me over is they find out Im an articulate adult and know all the correct answer and explanations to everything they start yacking about. Once they figure out Im not a scared scrub they bail. COPBAIT plate is to F with them hahahha
lol this. I'm so freaking chill and relaxed. I hate it when there's a cop on the middle or right lane just relaxing and EVERYONE in front of him or around him will do the EXACT speed limit or equal to him. Pisses me off. COPS DON'T LIKE THAT. Keep the traffic flowing dammit. If that happens and the left lane is open (rarely), I'll just casually pass by. And if he looks, i'll salute or wave by. And when I'm at a red light in the left lane first car, and the car next to me is a cop car, I'll crank the volume from 18 to maybe 16 or 14 depending on what dubstep is playing, and I'll just mildly accelerate with the cop car. They hate slow cars in traffic. As long i'm not spinning my tires or screaming to 4500rpms to get off the line.
I used to have smoked tail lights and the Sheriff didn't really see me have my turn signals on. I told him I was going to my friend's house to pop a dent out and he was pretty cool and kept talking to me. He let me go, told me to have a good day and just make sure i use the signals longer just in case. Another morning, I got pulled over by a lady Sheriff for a loud exhaust. I promised her I had my exhaust at home since I just got it and was going to spectate my friends run at Rally Cross. She was like, alright, you sure you will put it on tomorrow when you're back? I said Yes. Don't make me catch you without it! I said okay ^_^ She came back and asked me about the front license plate I had at the time (my N.Carolina plate) and I asked if i can take it off right away so she doesn't give me a ticket or anything since it has to be matching. she said I can. So i cut the zipties off and she let me go I remember I had 14" steelies with stock tires and I accidentally ran the curb with the rear tire xD This was a long time ago. aside from that, I had one cop made sure my brake lights were working and the 3rd brake light was out. so he let me go and made sure I was aware.
Very true. My friends or wife always trip when i pass a cop or hwy patrol. But to me if they are going to drive they need to do the speed limit to. So i roll on by with a smile and wave. Usually they cops give that shock look like what the heck am i doing. But they never mess with me so it must work. Obay the laws people and your ok.
i didnt even know the green bulbs i had were illegal, as i purchased the truck with them already installed, and had been driving it for a few months at that point. as for driving in traffic, i try to keep around 5 over in most places as long as its not a neighborhood or somthing like that...
