Damn haven't been on here in awhile. Truck is coming along nicely. Are you gonna run a secondary air tank as like a back up or anything. I hated only having 5 gallons of air comps were always on. If I could fit another tank next to my 7 gallon I would. What's the plan for the bag location on the rear

Probably not. I dont hit the air too much. Last truck was 2 viair 380s and a 5 gallon tank and it was fine...

As far as bag location for the rear, cantilevered. Bags behind axle, pivoting over.

Factory 93 Pickup rear. The rotors are off a 04 Camry, rear. The hub bore has to be milled out 5mm large to fit the axle hub, then a bracket is fabbed to secure the caliper, and a proportioning valve is mounted inline to adjust the brake pressure for the disks....and voila...disk conversion < $200

Bagged truck has no ebrake..the suspension travel would pull the cable....

It would be cool if someone figured out a way to make the eb rake work, like using a longer cable and mounting it all on closer to the axle or figuring out a hydraulic ebrake.

Im not all that concerned with it. If my truck is parked, its laid out. The frame is on the ground...its not going anywhere.

I run a e-bake set up ,works great, & there is no problem with the cable tightening as the suspension cycles!
I run Ford SVO Mustang rotors w/ Caddy calipers with e-brake,& used Locar cables!

How much would you charge for a set of those caliper brackets?

I can make them to accomodate the camry calipers and rotors, as thats what I have...I could prob do a set out of 1/4" for $50 shipped anywhere in the lower 48...

I've been busy doing a drum to disc brake conversion on my Camry and I was surprised at how easy it has been so far. Basically just swap backing plates and your done.

That brought up a couple questions, are you using your Camry backing plate? Or are you just placing the rotor over the old drum backing plate? I'm wondering if a little boring would allow that to be bolted on. If so then that might just be a very doable mod. Plus the e-brake addition wouldn't be that hard either.

I popped the drum backing plate off...which exposed the end of the axle tube, the seal...and the axle flange. The rotor sits on the axle flange and the bracket bolts to the studs that keep the axle in the housing. No backing plate..

I see, so you nixed the entire drum backing plate (rear brake assy. in above pic). I was thinking just replacing it with a Camry backing plate. That way you'll have the caliper mounts that are built into the backing plate already there with e-brake potential. Might have to measure the distances from where the axle shaft sits and where the one on the Camry sat, that way you can compensate if needed.

I just might have to look into this myself.

For static trucks, how hard would it be to hook up the e-brake? I know my state inspector will fail my truck for not having one. The price is great but I want to make sure I can use it with issues.
