I'll keep you posted if I experience any odd issues, but after last night I don't expect to.

So, after a few weeks of street tuning and some significant gains from both tuning and the engine and turbo breaking in, I am impressed. By both the performance of the auto trans, and by the lack of the hyped "lift" caused by the reverse 4 link. Granted the majority of the torque made by a boosted 4 cylinder doesn't come on immediately, but it's still there not too far off the line. If I think of it one of these days, I'll stick one of my buddy's GoPros to the bed rail and video it for validation.

I'd like to, but I need to call the local guy and get a price. Last time I checked, he told me $600 for up to two days worth of work. I don't think I'll need that much time seeing as I really only need help with low end timing. It runs great right now, it's just really safe. As far as the fuel map, TunerStudio has an auto tune that gets really close, just on the safe side, so my current tune is as good as I can get until I improve the timing map.

Damn, really looking forward to finding this out, Do you think that you are getting 100HP or close to it? By the way, I decided to run my link reverse despite all the haters. I understand why but they have done it on so many vehicles that I have seen with moderate gains in HP over stock and there were no problems. Besides, I am not going to abuse it. I am going for a totally clean look like yours or Toshihide Kazama's

I would think its got about 220hp at the crank. Stock has about 110 depending on year.

Looks killer. For an overflow bottle, get an aluminum water bottle. Take a stick of 1/4" brake line, cut one end off to remove the fittings. Bend the other end 90 degrees. Cut the loop off the cap and drill a 1/4" and an 1/8" holes. Stick the brake line in, and JB Weld it into position from the inside. I used an ear plug in the breather hole to keep jb weld out. Total cost is about $5-10 each can. And there are lots of cool designs on them available. I have a ninja turtles one for my radiator. And a colored checkerboard for my valve cover catch can. Same concept but with 2 3/8" lines. I will find some pics of my setup if it doesn't all make sense

A '94 has 116HP and 140TQ, with that turbo he's probably getting 110hp to 120hp over stock... I hope. Would make me feel better about my decision.

That is truly a great idea...:ROFL: Seriously! I have to laugh though because everytime you explain your stuff, it always reminds me of MacGyver with the Mission Impossible theme as the soundtrack.

What can I say to being called the MacGyver of Toyota parts but go me! I actually have almost every episode of that show on my computer, which is also my tv. Watch an episode or two almost every night

As for parts, I like stuff thats custom or just from other rides. Thats the kind of hot rodding I grew up with. Its cheaper and ends up with a less "out of the catalog" look in the end. Thats half the reason I sold my lowered 92 shorty for a 78 longbed.

As for the overflow/catch tank itself, I can't find pics, but heres some info on the oil catch can I made to run a line from the front valve cover port back to the intake flow. That gets a much better suction to help the PCV system work better. The inlet is the long side, and has a blockage side port for if it ever gets too gunked up. The short side gets a fairly gunk free suction of just air. I plan to run it to the port directly under the carb. On the valve cover I took the leftover from cutting a line flare off and stuck it through the front hole of the valve cover. The flare gives it a nice seat. I JB Welded it in with an ear plug inside to keep the line clear. That way I can run 3/8" line from start to finish on the system. Already have a small breather filter on the PCV valve itself.

Valve cover with 3/8 stub sticking out. Just clamp a hose right on.

I steal everything off the internet and save it on my hard drive. Which is good because our internet sucks. And no discs to mess with keeping safe and stored.

Heres the can pics. 2 line is oil vapor catch can. 1 line is radiator overflow with relief port to keep from pressurizing and not wanting to work.

For the mount, I take a wide hose clamp thats too long, and trim off a few inches of the tail. Then drill a hole through the slots for a 6mm bolt. Plenty of those in the engine bay. Then bend about 1" 90* in a vice with a hammer. Then take pliers or the vice and crimp that to nearly a 180. That can then slip over the hose clamp and be mounted to the inner fender or firewall or core support. Then stick the bottle in and snug up the clamp. When you do, it bends the bolt head into the can which helps as spin-lock to keep it tight. On the 78 theres a perfect recess shape on the inner fenders that holds the oil perfect. For your setup you'd have to find a spot.

And if I were you, I would change all those spring style hose clamps you're using on the radiator and heater hoses to screw type. They make nice stainless ones which would add some bling to the engine bay. And they stay tight. I hate the spring type.

Really? I love the spring type. Except that they don't look all that nice any more.

I need to get measurements on all of the clamps that I have now. I do want to get the stainless T bolt clamps for everything.
