Hi, I was on the way to replace my torsion bars but I couldn't get the anchor arm off the exiting torsion bar, tried an hammer and lots of penetrating fluid but no success. Any ideas on how to brake it free without destroying the anchor arm?

Apply heat to the splined portion.

 

Torch the anchor arm, should expand the steel and make it easier to release?
