Can I use my stock shocks in the front with the Belltech springs? If not, what are my options?

Yes you can, it will sit on the bump stop without maxing out the shock, even with the lower bump stop pad removed.

Would you trust the stock Gabriel shocks? I don't believe the truck I have has seen a lot of time on the road... Less than 100K on the odometer!

As long as the shocks still feel good, run em. If its a boat, replace them. I put some 89-95 Bilstiens in mine and it feels firm and responsive now.

Looking for a little clarification on this please!!
The lowered mighty max could drop "a lot" how much is that you would say? I ask as I am working on getting a stout which is sky high and will need to come down. There appears to be MUCH more room to lower them that the hilux (at least fender clearance wise) so wondering if this would be a good option or me.... Or if I should just plan on a chassis swap....

    Thanks

I have a 76 longbed, and quite new in this crowd, but if I run mighty max springs up front, what should I look into for the rear sitting level? Blocks and 1 leaf removed or will I be okay with just blocks? I'm looking at blocks from beefy tacos website. I've read it lowers the front only 3 inches, but want to be sure. Also, should the swaybar be removed, and should I do shocks at the same time so I don't have to go back and do it? Thanks.

I have 3in blocks and removed leaf. pretty much evened out. maybe the rear is .25" higher. I still have the sway. I would replace the shocks for sure! I thought about taking measurements and finding some Bilsteins or running someting else. ANY SUGGESTIONS out there? I need a smoother ride. I know my 45 series tires arent helping either but the stock replacement Tokicos to me arent so good.

That looks perfect, and I don't know if you saw, I picked up a 72, so no more talk about the 76. So are those moog springs for the mighty max a stock replacement, or a lowering one? I love the stance of yours, something I'm going for. Let me know about which shocks you choose, I'll probably be ordering the things I need to lower here within the next month or so. Thanks for the help brah!

thanks on the props. the springs are the stock mighty max replacement not lowering. i am 99% sure going with the Bilsteins once i take measurements and if i can find one from them with the right specs.

I've read sonewhere about using camaro shocks, is that what you're looking for? Also, are you talking after you go 2 inches lower, or currently? Is there anything you don't like about the Moog springs, too stiff or anything? If you decide to go lower and get rid of them, I'll buy. Not trying to copy everything you are doing, I'm new at this and don't know.everything on the market is all.

Ya I heard that too. Ppl use those because I guess it has the same measurements as the Hilux. I am talking after I go 2in lower. What I am actually going to to try first since it wont cost anything is cut the front coils a little and pull a leaf in the rear. See how that rides, if junk, then buy new coils. I would sell em to you, but honestly They are super cheap on amazon. Just type Moog 2278 Constant Rate Coil Spring. They are less than $100. Let me know if you have question, I would be happy to answer if possible.

Those will probably be the ones I will get then, if I don't find mighty max springs at the junkyard. I don't really care about ride quality, this is more of a show truck, won't be daily driven or anything. I'll just have to search around some more and find out which shocks to run with them. Does 1 leaf have to be removed in the rear if I get 3 inch blocks, or does that just effect how it rides? Thanks a lot for helping me with all these questions!

I'm only wanting a 2-3inch lowered, so I think I'm going with the stock ones from amazon. Any rear blocks you guys recommend? I've seen a guy here on the site that has a shop, Taco something.
