84 Toyota Hilux... project/daily driver

    so the 22rte is a big no no then, umm well ill just stick to the 22r then thanks for the heads up on that 22rte :waytogo: well ima start to look into places for rebuilt engines and what not, ima slowly start my project off and see where i go off from there... thanks for the help

    As was stated, driveability/reliablity. At mileage the turbo seals goes out and is significant damage to the wallet. In stock form, it was just a first generation Turbo EFI motor. Kind of like driving the first automatics - you can do it, but there are many better options available, however the tried and true stick still reigns supreme.
