I would just leave them open but the doors have no rust and I'd like to keep it that way. Ideally I would like to find another set of doors with no holes. How hard is it to do "lead" work? I like the idea of filling the holes with metal not bondo but don't have access to a welder or the knowledge not to screw it up.

You can always use stainless buttonhead allan bolts with a dab of clear silicone to seal the holes. With the truck being white it wouldn't look all that bad.

I filled my mirror holes ghetto-ly... Ducttaped a penny to the inside then used some bondo.. I didn't use much time since I need new doors.

They also make pop in plastic plugs. Chrome and black. Nail polish to match your color. I've just never gotten around to it. They masked around the mirrors when the doors were repainted so it won't disappear anyways. I'm debating repainting it the stock color. Smooth a few seams and holes along the way. Haven't decided if I wanna give up being able to say "stock paint" and see it so shiny.

Where can you find the little plugs? I wish my truck had original paint, it is the original color but has a horrible respray. In some areas you can brush the paint off...

Hardware store has the plastic plugs. Cabinetry or facet areas if not in general hardware near bolts.

And thanks again bud. Give me $4k and ill give you the title. :p

im having a hard time finding the post you made about your suspension set up...(the front mainly) i know that your rear is one pulled leaf, 4.5 blocks, and some sort of shackle trick(drill a hole in between the two on the shackle?), did i miss anything? the front is cut springs and...?

does the 8in include drop in tire diameter? my front cross member is only about 8in off the ground with 205/75/14 tires.

We're close to the same height right byker? Side by side they looked pretty close.

Yeah fairly close. I think the later body was shorter but had more visable frame. I haven't measured my ground to frame height in a while. Washed it up today. Ill spec it out tomorrow and post the numbers. As for drop yeah just coils, blocks and yanked leaf. Nothing magic. Just sits low. Back end may get 4 linked soon. Not sure what parts are landing in what projects. Taking on 2 more yotas, maybe 3 so it'll get hectic on top of the 3 hot rods I'm building at working. That's why this hasn't changed much over the years.

Cool, thx! It would be cool to see a mod/setup spec list. What are the other yotas? I want a station wagon of the rwd vintage...I always say I want to drift them but then you just smash up your sexy old car, if you are serious about drifting...doesnt mean you cant play a little!:waytogo:

    Anywho Mork is dope!

Thanks bud. It's a solid old truck. I'm starting a 74 and 88 Toyota 2wd wide body chop tops soon. Have a Monte Carlo, a mustang and a Dakota all destined for the 1320 track. This is just a good daily.
