Turns out I had gotten the wrong headgasket, I had the 22r rebuild kit but I had to get the HG separate for some reason and the smaller bore 20r gasket burned up all around the combustion chambers causing just alittle antifreeze into the mix. All back together and running strong, though the head is leaking oil from the back passenger side and I'm still burning oil. I've installed a oil catch canister and that has helped quite a bit to keep the oil contained.
The work is never done, soon I'll start replacing bushings and shocks then I can finally start the body work. Hopefully someday I can just drive and not worry about ****.
