'75 Hilux 22RE Turbo project

    That's correct. The sump location is the problem. A 2wd and 4wd pan from a 22r (or RE) doesn't fit. Yes the mid sump 20r pan will fit on a 22r and 22re block. I had to put the OE 20r on my 22re. I did have concerns about oiling, so I put a LC crank scraper on it just to be safe.
    Oh and BTW... I still have the truck LOL.

    Small update:
    Ended up putting a R154 from a Supra (with R150 tail housing) transmission in the truck. Its nice not having to worry about the crappy auto trans but holy cow was fitting it in the truck a pain.

    Also when did driveshafts get so expensive? Haha

    update, i found the only mid sump pan on ebay and bought it right after you told me what to get..thanks...it worked great..was from a 76 or 77 celica, dont remember
