Hi guys. I'm new to the site. I'm from Queensland in Australia, and this is my 1983 Hilux Dual Cab. It has a twin turbo 1G-GTE motor, and 5 speed in it, from a 1988 Supra. It's had the door handles shaved, and I've started doing some more work on it, shaving the tailgate, and adding a few unique touches Minitrucks are called 'utes' in Australia (short for utility) so that's where the 'yoot' came from on the tailgate. I'm not sure what I have planned for it, long term, but I plan on getting a full skin combo for the rear, different taillights, and do the interior. Engine pics: It's getting there slowly! I also have a 79 4wd single cab. Let me know what you think!
wow i LOVE your engine... its taking me a lil while to get used to the body style tho.. very nice front also!!
amazing trucks.. now i wanna come tehre just to play with em! whats the #'s on the dub cab? thats gotta be fun to drive.

5 stars in my book ! I love the "YOOT" Welcome to toyotaminis.com and thanks for sharing it with us. We look forward to your posts in the future.
Thanx for the comments guys. The motor is pretty much stock. Not a lot done. They put out 156kW stock. All it has done to it is an exhaust, front mount intercooler, GFB blow off valve, and a Turbosmart Boost controller, running 12/15 PSI (up from 7 standard) I'd like to do a big single turbo conversion at some stage, and an aftermarket computer. It's also running the Supra handbrake (e-brake?) setup, as there wasn't enough room for the turbos against the firewall, so that had to be 'massaged' a little, and the handbrake assembly had to go.
The hinges crapped out on me! I'm thinkin of using a pair of bonnet hinges, off the same model lux, and using them. It will look a little smoother on the outside then, because I can just 'glass a steel plate on the underside to bolt it on. I'm going to 'emboss' some flames onto it also. As for the wheels, I like them, but I want to go a little bigger eventually, and that all costs $$$!
