This is good stuff. Is the conversion just a matter of changing the rotors, and calibers, along with the stand/adapter, Seems simple enough. Just might have to do this!! Keep the updates coming.

    What is a caliber hat?

Will you need to upgrade your brake lines with this conversion?

And that's to all of you on the tread for lowering!!!!!

The hat is the part of the rotor that bolts onto the wheel studs...
With a Wilwood rotor the hat is a seperate piece unlike stock rotors. Look at the earlier posts of Litneon's pics and you can see the black part of the rotor is bolted to it, thats the "hat"

As for the brake lines, Litneon went to braided stainless, but if you can get the existing lines to reach they will fit. I am planning on keeping mine at this point. Unless I can find a set of stainless for a decent price.

PS I ordered the caliper stands yesterday, supposedly I will get them in 2-3 weeks.
6 pairs and 3 are committed. So if you want in let me know. I expect a $25 deposit to hold a pair for you.

it looks like in the picture he is using a wheel spacer or am i just seeing wrong?

i mean i would imagine you would def. need a spacer seeing as the caliper is pretty close to the beginning of where the stud bolts start already. i guess it depends on your wheel style.

i would love to see more finished results. by far one of the best pricing for a brake upgrade.

str8_6, Yes I am using a wheel spacer. But not to complete the brake setup. The Axis Reverbs that I run in the front needed to come out in the wheelwell an inch on each side to be even with the rear wheels. Also the center cap of the wheels wouldn't fit over the grease cap of the hub without the wheel moving out by way of the spacer.

And yes 93Yoter 17's should be fine. There is plenty of extra room in my wheels. I was even thinking of maybe going to a larger rotor. I can't however fit the original 14" wheel back on the fronts.:D

So I repeat, You won't need a wheel spacer for the brake setup.

can anyone tell me if this pushes the face of your wheel out further? Also can this be done to a truck that has a high postive offset wheel? I am running a 40mm offset 20 and want to make sure everything will clear
