For those that said they didn't use the heater as the bracket, did you have to modify the console to install it? I'm trying to do this and the opening isn't lining up around the stick-shift.

I have one in mine an I just cut out a little more for the shifter

 

Yota, do you have any pics of your install? And how did you mount it to the floor? Did you use the heater?

 

I just mounted mine with a bracket I made. I had to install rivnuts to mount the back section and weld a tab to my shift plate to mount the front section. It turned out pretty good and is very solid.

 

Mines just sitting in there still but I have all the front mounts from the 4runner its just a temp thing until I body it an build a fiberglass center console
