Right now i have a 3.0 in my truck and i'm looking to swap it out and i'm not sure what would be my best bet. either a built 22re or a 5vz with a few mods i'm looking to get about 200-250 hp out of it any input would be much appreciated

5VZ-FE would be much easier. I also see you have the 4WD, which makes it even easier for you guys.
and you can grab a supercharger for the 5VZ-FE. TRD.

is the 5vz the best bet even down the road? i haven't driven the 3.4 so i'm not 100% sure what to expect as far as reliability and mileage. What would be the easiest way to add some power to it? (other then putting a supercharger on)

The 3.4 is a very nice engine! and it's about the easiest swap for you to do since you already have the 3.slow. mild intake and exhaust improvements will put the 5vz in your power goal range, plus be super reliable and not a gas hog.

    Yup.
The 3.4L is wayy more efficient than the 3.0L, provides more power, more economic, and you can depend on it :)

    Yotatech.com might be helpful.

5VZ-FE is a "tall" motor, so it's easier for the 4WD's. If you plan to do a bodylift, it makes everything much easier, and also give you room for tires :)

toyonlyswaps.com very great people, great price, great harness. very simple. i think i only had to hook up 5 wires, constant 12v, acc power, ground, fuel pump, speed sensor and i think that was it. :waytogo:
