Has every winter I make some kind of change to my truck & repair anything that is in need.
This winter I am doing repair to the doors where the old mirror mount holes where as didn't fill as I knew I should have & they where high lighting through the paint a little.
Ground out & welded up, than body filler, now have sanded out will spot primer today & wet sand the doors & front fenders out, remove the hood & do the same they.
Reshoot all & lay new flames heaver white pearl to match the bed. IMG_20170109_121235.jpg

Another part of this winter work is redoing the upholstery work I did on the door panels.
I got a 2nd set of door panels ( 4 Runner) & I'm doing the prework, there are small plastic mounting pins of which screws thread into, these hold the window switches plate IMG_20170110_115822.jpg IMG_20170110_115826.jpg to the door panel, & they break off over time!!
I cut to fit metal thread sleeves ( 6-24 fine thread ) & glue these in place of the plastic pins!

I use E-600 to glue in position & than Q-Bond around the base of them.
Q-Bond is a great product for repairing just about anything !

Got some more work done, all masked off & prime the areas of work, still have to remove the hood & mask to shoot the fenders!
Hope to start shooting the bottom areas & the top red areas this coming week,& get two coats of clear on than the flames & more clear.
Than prep & shoot the hood! IMG_20170119_135513.jpg IMG_20170119_135524.jpg

Can't wait to see the final result. What paint are you planning to use?

They are over flow tanks from Billet Spealities, I machine out the bottom of one to fit in the window washer pump, the other is the radiator over flow. Billet spealities tank.jpg Radiator work-4.jpg

Mine is not like anything on e-bay, custom made by Griffin.
They claim theirs are all welded & than they coat over all seams with a epoxy of type.
I had a small leak after a year or so, they made me a new one,no problems& have had for a long time!
    Costly!!!
