u must keep it..it helps hold ur lower spndle in place..if u dnt its super wobbly..u dnt se them on bagged trucks cuz they usually have them...

boring out the rims is alot more expensive then 1/4inch spacers....u can get a full set of 4 x 1/4 inch spacers for 40bucks at 4wheel parts...
