yes thats correct. the shackle hangers are the best way to go though but you will need a good welder:p
that or get under your truck and locate the cable mounted on the tranny on the passenger side. once you found it take it out and make sure the key...

from my understanding it works very good on 4x4's but on 2wd it does not matter at all becuz the rear brakes is really much used for your hand...
