I with twisted screw any and all wiring... my carb will only need 5 wires to start and be self sustaining. NA 2j is way less cool than the turbo...

skip the 305 .. fords you hafta run the mustang rear sump.. chevy comes that way.. otherwise I have a swap starting up now with a 350GM
1j or 2j is not different.. you want to be different find a way to make a 4ag or b18c work under the hood... you want power? reliability? gas...
Even though they may be the same loosened are they the same height(side vs side)? Otherwise bad bushings or frame/control arm/hub damage may be...

Several people have put a ford 9 inch in the back of their trucks ... search that option ... although I think many use the explorer version.
GM350 (gen 2 I think but is the same size wise) with the TH350 (turbo350) 3 speed.
