On the top of the tower under a rubber cap The bolts are what hold the shifter down in the tower

I had the same problem taking out my shifter too, wouldn't go down at all, turns out mine had 4 10mm bolts/skrews to remove then the shifter jus...
And my trans yuu have to unbolt the shifter from the tower instead of push down like the short shifter.:confused:
How'd yuu shave the ball down?? The short shifter one i got from LC is way bigger too!

Not sure if many would know but can you use a rear 3rd member in a solid front axle. Its the same size ring gear and same 30 spline as the rear axle

First would be to get it lower, then upgrade the shocks maybe get air-adjustable ones, lots of people here run 69 camaro shocks for the front...

Haha yeah its kinda extreme but makeing 2wd trucks 4wd with solid front axles is kind of a normal thing around here
